Sending a request for quotation that includes only \u201cflow rate, head, and price\u201d carries certain risks. From chamber filling to filter cake compaction, both flow rate and pressure fluctuate. The slurry may also cause corrosion and wear on pump components that come into contact with it. A qualified supplier should explain how the pump meets the requirements of the entire cycle and clarify any specific conditions that cannot yet be confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. A single rated point, such as \u201c100 m\u00b3\/h at 80 m head,\u201d does not establish whether the press fills fast enough or reaches the required final pressure. Check the maximum pressure allowed by the press and piping as well, and ensure the control setting cannot exceed equipment ratings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For a centrifugal pump, check shaft power and motor margin at the actual slurry density and on the relevant part of its pump curve. For an AODD pump, ask for flow and air consumption at the specified backpressure. Maximum figures in two product summaries may use different conditions; subtracting their maximum flows does not establish which pump is better for your duty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Why do the wetted materials suit this slurry?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Give the supplier chemical constituents and concentrations, not just \u201cacidic slurry.\u201d At the same pH, chloride ions, hydrofluoric acid, solvents, or oxidizing components can change material selection. State whether solids content is by weight or by volume, and provide particle size, shape, hardness, and temperature. Ask for the material of each relevant component: <strong>casing, impeller, casing cover, lining, and seal-contact parts<\/strong>. \u201cCorrosion- and abrasion-resistant pump\u201d is not a material specification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our <a href=\"https:\/\/changyupump.com\/product\/filter-press-feed-pump\/\">UHFM-HJ series<\/a> can be configured with UHMWPE, fluoroplastics, polyurethane, or corrosion-resistant metals. Each option has its own chemical, temperature, and particle-wear limits. Confirm that the final model, materials, and spare-part names match the drawing and bill of materials. We offer several pressure classes, but the word \u201chigh pressure\u201d alone does not justify a two-stage pump, and the highest series rating is not a guarantee for every model. UHFM-HJ has HJ1 single mechanical seal and HJ2 cartridge double mechanical seal arrangements. The choice depends on solids, crystallization, acceptable leakage, available flushing water, and shutdown practices. A purchase specification should state seal type, wetted materials, flushing requirements, spares, and operating limits. \u201cDouble mechanical seal\u201d by itself does not prove that every leakage problem has been solved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Does the suction and installation arrangement work?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many feed problems begin on the suction side. Tell the supplier the tank level relative to the pump centerline, whether the tank is under vacuum, suction pipe diameter and length, bends, valves, strainers, and whether the slurry settles. For our UHFM range, flooded suction from an elevated tank is the preferred arrangement. A low-level tank with a foot valve and suction lift should not simply be assumed suitable. If the site requires suction lift, ask for an assessment before ordering rather than testing the arrangement only after delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also ask how the piping will be independently supported, whether a discharge check valve is needed, and how shutdown water hammer will be handled. The installation drawing and startup sequence should be part of the deliverables, not only points discussed in a sales conversation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Can you verify the quotation and application evidence?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A comparable quotation should identify the pump model, wetted materials, seal, motor power and electrical supply, connections, spares, controls or instruments, packing and shipping terms, lead time, and technical documents. For a custom project, distinguish standard supply from separately priced items. Agree on acceptance methods in advance: a clean-water factory test, material-document review, or an additional test for a special medium. A clean-water test alone does not prove field performance with a dense slurry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If a supplier provides installation photos or an application example, verify the actual model, medium, and duty. A photo can show that equipment was installed or operated; it cannot, on its own, establish service life, energy savings, or filter cake moisture. For any claimed improvement figure, request the measurement period and comparison baseline.<\/p>\n\n\n<style>.wp-block-kadence-advancedgallery
