Recently, Changyu Pump successfully provided a customized pumping solution for the acid washing and purification process of a Japanese new material manufacturing company. During silicon carbide production, the acid washing and purification stage plays a critical role in improving material purity. This process generally uses acidic chemical solutions to remove impurities and metal oxides from raw materials, which places strict requirements on pumping equipment regarding corrosion resistance, safety, and continuous operation capability.

Solution Details
Full Plastic Pump Head Design: The FSB pump adopts a fully plastic pump head structure. The wetted components, including the pump head and impeller, are manufactured through integrated molding using ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE).
This design physically isolates metal materials from hydrofluoric acid, eliminating corrosion leakage risks and preventing metal ion contamination from the source. It is especially suitable for applications requiring high chemical purity, such as silicon carbide material production.
Optimized Hydraulic Design for HF Transfer: Due to the characteristics of hydrofluoric acid, including easy vaporization and crystallization, the FSB pump features optimized impeller and flow channel designs.
The optimized hydraulic structure helps maintain stable flow performance, reduce pulsation, lower cavitation risks, and ensure uniform acid washing performance during continuous operation. Stable Mechanical Seal Structure:The pump is equipped with an external bellows mechanical seal.
The stationary ring is made from 99.0% alumina ceramic or silicon carbide, while the rotating ring uses PTFE-filled material. This configuration provides excellent wear resistance and enhances sealing reliability when handling corrosive chemical liquids.
