Fluorosilicic acid requires careful material selection because the pump wetted parts are directly exposed to the chemical medium. For relatively clean liquid transfer, a fluoroplastic-lined pump can be considered. Where suspended solids or process residues are present, the pump configuration should also account for wear.

Phosphoric acid slurry combines chemical corrosion with mechanical wear. Suspended solids can wear the impeller and flow passage, while the acidic liquid places additional demands on wetted materials.

For this application, corrosion resistance alone is not enough. The pump also needs a flow passage that can handle solid particles without frequent blockage.
