Chemical Drum Pump Parts

The Chemical Drum Pump primarily consists of core components such as the pump tube, motor/pneumatic drive head, impeller, discharge port, and sealing assembly, which collectively ensure safe and efficient transportation of chemical liquids. Below is an overview of the features of each component:

  • Pump Tube: Typically made of corrosion-resistant materials (such as PP, PVDF, PTFE, stainless steel, etc.), it is directly immersed in the container to transport liquid. It features no leakage, resistance to chemical corrosion, and customizable length to accommodate different container depths.
  • Motor or Pneumatic Drive Head: Electric models are equipped with speed control and overload protection functions, while pneumatic models are suitable for explosive environments; providing stable power output, simple operation, and compatibility with multiple energy sources.
  • Impeller: Typically designed with closed or open chemically resistant structures, capable of efficiently conveying fluids from low to high viscosity, and supporting short-term dry running without damage.
  • Discharge Outlet: Standard threaded connections (e.g., G1″) or hose fittings for easy connection, supporting quick switching of conveying pipes to reduce leakage risks.
  • Sealing System: Features a seal-less design (magnetic drive or dry-running configuration) to completely eliminate leakage, requiring no maintenance, and is particularly suitable for handling hazardous, high-purity, or flammable liquids.

Chemical Drum Pump Working Principle

The Chemical drum pump is driven by an electric or pneumatic motor, which causes the impeller inside the pump to rotate at high speed. Centrifugal force is used to draw oil from the bottom of the container into the pump pipe, where it is accelerated by the impeller. The kinetic energy of the liquid is converted into stable pressure within the pump chamber and then discharged through the outlet, achieving efficient transportation. The entire system employs a seal-less design, eliminating the risk of leakage and ensuring safe, clean, and cost-effective transfer of oil and viscous media (such as lubricating oil, fuel, etc.). Taking the oil drum pump as an example, here is how it works:
