Features of Stainless Steel Centrifugal Chemical Pump
Extensive Model Range and Complete Specifications
Changyu offers 29 basic models and 22 dual-speed variants. Through impeller diameter modification and redesign, up to 112 specifications are available to meet diverse chemical process requirements.
Easy Maintenance
Features an extended coupling design. During servicing, there is no need to disassemble the inlet/outlet piping or motor. Simply separate the coupling to extract the rotor assembly, significantly reducing maintenance time.

Advanced Structural Design
Featuring a single-stage, single-suction cantilevered structure, the chemical centrifugal pump employs axial suction and radial discharge with foot-supported installation for stable and reliable operation.
High Strength and Corrosion Resistance
Critical wetted parts are manufactured from stainless steel or corrosion-resistant materials, ensuring safety and durability when handling acids, alkalis, corrosive, and toxic media.
Working Principle
The CYH series stainless steel chemical centrifugal pump utilizes an electric motor to drive the impeller at high rotational speeds. Within the impeller channels, the liquid undergoes centrifugal force, gaining both kinetic energy and pressure energy, thereby enabling its continuous conveyance into the piping system. This process achieves efficient energy conversion for the liquid, allowing the pump to reliably and efficiently transport various acidic, alkaline, and corrosive media.
Parts
A stainless steel centrifugal chemical pump is composed of several precision-engineered components designed to handle corrosive and high-purity media. The impeller, typically made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel (such as 304, 316, or duplex grades), is mounted on the pump shaft within the casing. As it rotates at high speed, it draws chemical fluids into the eye of the impeller and discharges them outward with strong centrifugal force. The pump casing, also constructed from stainless steel, ensures excellent corrosion resistance while guiding the fluid flow and converting kinetic energy into pressure. Bearings within the housing support the shaft and maintain stable, low-vibration operation, while the sealing system (mechanical seal or magnetic drive) prevents leakage of hazardous chemicals. The drive unit—most commonly an electric motor—provides consistent and reliable power, ensuring safe and efficient performance in demanding chemical processing environments.

- Impelle: We use duplex stainless steel or 316L stainless steel (custom materials available). The impeller adopts a semi-open design to improve seawater passage efficiency. Its optimized hydraulic profile reduces cavitation and ensures stable operation in corrosive marine environments.
- Pump Casing: The pump casing is manufactured from corrosion-resistant stainless steel materials. It provides a reliable pressure boundary and ensures smooth flow guidance inside the pump. The reinforced structure maintains stable performance during long-term seawater operation.
- Shaft: The shaft is made of high-strength stainless steel with corrosion-resistant treatment. It is precisely machined to ensure accurate alignment and stable torque transmission, reducing vibration during continuous operation in marine applications.
- Mechanical Seal: We use silicon carbide or tungsten carbide mechanical seal materials. The seal structure is designed to prevent seawater leakage under high salinity and pressure conditions, ensuring reliable sealing performance and extended service life.
- Bearing Assembly: The bearing assembly is designed for continuous heavy-duty operation. It uses corrosion-resistant components to reduce friction and maintain stable shaft rotation, ensuring reliable performance under long operating cycles.
- Base Frame: The base frame is constructed from reinforced carbon steel with anti-corrosion coating. It ensures stable installation of the pump and motor, reduces vibration during operation, and supports flexible installation in marine environments.
